I have tested this briefly. Use the "Music" or "Movie" buttons to set PLII MS / PLII MV on the receiver or on the remote control. If, for example, 2CH or Front Surround is running (2.1), you can return to 5.1 with the "Music / Movie" buttons.

Yes it works! I have 2 Sony front speakers, 1 Yamaha centre speaker and 2 Canton rear speakers and Canton subwoofer.
