Can I use the enclosed cable to operate the soundbar with the remote control of my LG Smart TV so that it goes on and off with the TV or louder and quieter?

I have connected the soundbar to my Samsung TV via Bluetooth. But I always have to press the power button on the soundbar, it doesn't switch on automatically with the TV (for whatever reason...??) Volume control then works perfectly again.
The soundbar is not very powerful, if the TV is further away, the sound is too quiet.
