Can I use this device as a wifi receiver and thus connect a PC to the internet via the LAN connection? Kind regards

Yes, but... In my case, after several bandwidth tests, the wifi was faster than the wired connection. To be tested in your case. I have a swisscom router and the repeater is in a room separated by a relatively thick supporting wall.

We only use Labtops. According to the connection diagram, this is possible. The unit has 4 LAN connections.
