Question about Desview T3

Can I use this teleprompter so that I use my iPhone 14 as a camera while a second smartphone does the text mirroring? If so, is it also possible to use the iPhone 14 for both portrait and landscape shots without it being visible that I am not looking directly into the camera? It may be difficult with landscape shots, as the position of the iPhone camera is at the top of the device, so you would see that I am not looking directly into the camera - or how is that exactly?

I don't have an iPhone 14 but a predecessor model, but in principle there is not much difference between the two.
Using one smartphone for text mirroring is not a problem mechanically. However, it was quite a fiddle to get the remote control to talk to the phone in such a way that I could control the texts properly.
The teleprompter has a cut-out for the lens in the centre of the area where the text is displayed - that's where the iPhone lens has to go. This means you always look quite closely into the camera. How do you get the lens behind the hole? There are a few adapters and holders, but I recently made an "adapter" out of Lego for my webcam, which I attached with a rubber band. If I look at the accessories list, there is a "Cellphone Shooting Clamp", so it should be much easier than with my webcam.

I use an iPhone 13 mini and fix it behind the hole with the supplied clamp, for which there are various adapters. It fits quite well. I have also shot vertical ones (works exactly the same). You can position the iphone so that the camera is in the hole - maybe not exactly in the centre of the hole, but nobody will probably notice the small difference.
Switching from horizontal to vertical and vice versa works, but it's fiddling and adjusting each time, so don't click and you're done.
I use an old mobile for the text and a teleprompter app...all works very well, even with the remote, unfortunately only scroll on/off. For the other functions for the teleprompter app I would have to pay something monthly, which is not worth it for me.
