However, it contains an "Archive HDD" with Shingled Magnetic Recording (SMR), which means it is quite slow in writing and cannot be used for RAID (not even in the "special" RAID from DROBO). Besides, you can buy Seagate Archive HDD with the same capacity for practically the same price in bulk (currently not at Digitec) and save yourself the trouble of upgrading, so I don't see much point.

I don't see any screws on the housing. So it is glued or at least clipped, and thus cannot be opened "without problems".
