Question about LaCie Rugged Mini

Can the hard drive be connected to a Macbook pro late 2013 with the included cable? (Macbook still has the old USB 2.0 connectors). Did I understand correctly that if I choose USB 3.0, that is compatible with USB 2.0. Look with the different designations: USB 3 Type A , Type C, 3.1, 3.0 not really looking through anymore. Thanks for the help :-)

My hard drive came with an adapter cable. USBc to the large USB connector. The Mac Pro has several such connections. I have not yet found a USBc to Thunderbolt 2 adapter. I'm still looking for one. Maybe it's available second-hand.
Yours sincerely, Hayo Stahl

Should work fine with your USB 2.0 port, as the USB 3 type A (rectangular) cables are compatible with your device's USB 2 type A ports.
