Can the Logitech Harmony Touch also control the PS4? Has anyone tried this successfully themselves?

No the Touch does not support the PS4, see https://support.myharmony.com/en-us...

the hub-based remotes can also only be used with the PS4 under restrictions (they cannot switch on the ps4). As an alternative: The Bluetooth Remote from the PS3 also works wonderfully with the PS4 - everything works with it.
