Can the Ubiquiti UniFi AP AC-PRO be placed in another room without a cable connection to the router, or must it remain connected to the router via a cable connection?

This AP needs a LAN connection to your router. With the injector that comes with it, at least you don't have to install a power supply near the AP, as the required power is transferred via the LAN cable.
