Can this soundbar also be controlled via the original TV controls if the soundbar is connected to the Panasonic Smart TV via ARC (HDMI 2)? In other words, does the box switch off and on automatically when I switch the TV off and on? Thank you for your information.

It says that this product has HDMI CEC, which would be in favour of your desired behaviour. If your TV also has this, it should work.
