Can this ssd transfer photoes and videos directly from photos app? Is it as seamless as airdrop?

Photos and videos can be transferred directly from the photo folder to the drive quickly and easily via the Files app.
You can also use the Sandisk app to set up a backup routine for one or all folders.
But let's get back to the basics of your question: when you are in Photos, go to Send and then select the Files from section in the file interface, you can then select the corresponding drive where you can create the notes or not and then copy your pictures and videos.
