Question about Ubiquiti USG: UniFi Security Gateway Pro 4
Dear Community I have purchased the USG Pro 4 and have received an Internet Box XGS-PON (Kodiak) from my provider WINGO which I do not necessarily want to operate. I read above that the USG Pro 4 can be operated directly on the OTO socket using the correct SFP module. Does anyone know which module is compatible with XGS-PON and the USG 4 Pro? Ask your provider. In addition to the RX and TX types, they may also have to give you the ID or the VLAN tag. My former provider also refused - now I'm with Init7, who offer this from the ground up. There you can even order the matching SFP module at the same time as taking out the subscription. Works perfectly. Have fun!
With WINGO the VLAN TAG is number 10, I use a media converter from TPlink

Unfortunately, however, my provider got in the way. With my provider, independent FC termination is only possible with a business subscription. Check with Wingo in advance whether this is possible with your subscription. LG
