Question about WD Red

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, I bought a "wrong" WD Red for my NAS this year (albeit at STEG), on which one disk in the RAID array went defective. (Raid 1). The exchange worked, the disk is (still) stated to be OK. (I read this because a disk went defective on another NAS and I got the right WD Red Plus from you). Should I now order a WD Red Plus (2TB, 3.5", CMR) and exchange it again, as this poses a risk to my data? Kind regards Christoph Böhi ch.boehi@sunrise.ch

Had the same issue three times with the 4TB drives, replaced them each time by a new one to be sure.

On another NAS (both QNAP / raid 5) and 6 TB drives, no issue for yet 4yrs.

I even wondered if it is not the NAS (TS-451) creating the issue...

Better safe than sorry as they say.
