Do I have any disadvantages if I only operate the system via an Epson projector using Apple TV? I'm currently using the Apple Home Speaker, but would like a more cinema-like sound experience.

Hi Tommy
I can't really answer your question. From my point of view and from my practical experience, the Samsung HW-Q990F soundbar develops the best result when it can interact automatically with the TV. The whole thing is harmonised. I have a Samsung Q-TV and the Samsung HW-Q990F soundbar. It really is a perfect "cinema experience" at home. I can't say whether an Epson projector and Apple TV will do the same. My goal was a perfect integration of TV and soundbar, which Samsung has achieved with its Q-Line. From that point of view, I'm more than satisfied. I hope so. You find the right answer to your question.

the big problem you will have is that the soundbar has to be in front and you have to use either HDMI eARC or Toslink to get to the soundbar.
