Do I see this correctly, I simply connect the Cloud Key somewhere in the network and can then manage all the Ubiquity devices via it?

Yes, exactly like that. You can then also address the Cloudkey via mobile phone and open a new WLAN while on the move.
Integrating new APs is also totally easy.
