Does anyone have experience with the app for Android? Does it work? I recently read that the remote app for Denon and Pioneer devices works rather poorly than well.

I don't have any problems either. But I also use an iPhone. There is also DeRemote (http://www.deremote.com/).

I use the app via a smartphone (Android) and it works perfectly: be it to select the various speakers (whether 5.1 or 7.1, volume) or to play music via various inputs (USB, CD) or streaming services.
