Yes, the ILCE-6700 has a USB Type-C port, and you can use a USB cable to charge the camera from an external power source, such as a USB AC adaptor.

I bought the camera in the middle of Nov. 24 and probably received a USB-A/USB-C converter cable with it. The included power supply. The included power supply has a USB-A connection, so there is nothing to prevent charging. Data transfer to the PC is also possible via USB-A.

The a6400 also has a micro USB connection. It is supplied with a charger (mains adapter) and a micro USB cable. The newly announced a6400a will have a USB-C port, but this does not offer a charging function. A Sony battery charger will apparently be supplied instead.
