Does the device have a "dekstop" mode (similar to Samsung DEX)? I have seen that this is available on the M5 - but I am not sure how it is here on the M5 lite.

The M5 Lite does not have a "desktop mode", and the hardware would be far too weak for that.
However, it has enough power for media consumption.

I don't quite understand what you mean... But with Huawei, the difference between the models is really just the "worse" specifications. So that shouldn't be a problem :)
