Does the hard disk automatically go into standby mode when not in use. I would like to connect it to the Swisscom Internetbox 2 via USB.

Helpful answer

The disk is attached to my laptop and naturally goes into standby when there is no activity. Commendably, it does not even start when I activate the laptop and the USB contact is thus established, but only when there is effective access.
