Does the SSD get very hot during intensive use, so that you need an extra heat sink for it?
Samsung Electronics GmbH
Hello,
Thank you for your enquiry. High-performance SSDs require appropriate temperature management. In order to provide consistent performance, the 980 PRO is equipped with a nickel coating that can improve the heat level of the controller. In addition, a heat spreader dissipates the operating heat and thus effectively regulates the temperature of the flash memory. A separate heat sink is therefore not necessary.
Kind regards from Schwalbach,
Your Samsung Service Team
So for average use around 45-55° C, it would still make sense what exactly you mean by intensive use (gaming, rendering, etc?).
