Works the same for me as described by Anonymous. When the TV is switched on, sound is output via the Samsung TV; the soundbar must be activated manually. If the TV is switched off via the Samsung remote control, the soundbar also switches off automatically. However, volume control via the TV remote control works perfectly.

I connected the system via the HDMI port with ARC function of my Samsung TV and can adjust the volume with the TV remote control.
