Does this lens need its own AF or that of the camera?

Your question is not entirely clear but I'll give it a try:

The lens has its own AF motors, of course. As far as I know, camera bodies with built-in motors for autofocus have not existed for a long time.

The lens (currently) only works properly on Sony cameras with E-mount, i.e. A7 series, A5/6xxx series, partly on older NEX models.

The first question is whether a lens has AF at all or has to be focused manually. This lens has AF. But if you want to, you can also focus manually.
Then to the second part: AF of course always consists of different components - neither the camera nor the lens can focus alone. The focusing technology is in the camera, the motors in the lens.

I don't understand the question. I have never heard of a lens that has its own AF.
For the rest, I can agree with the first answerer.
