Does this monitor have a normal USB Type A port, for an adapter to use USB Type C for the Mac ?

I'm not quite sure I understand your question correctly.

The monitor has a USB-B connection for the integrated USB hub. You can connect a keyboard and mouse there.
To get a picture, you have to operate the monitor via the Displayport connection. There are cables for this, also for Mac.
Delock USB-C - DP cable (2 m, USB Type C, DisplayPort)
