Yes, all external USB hard drives can be used for recordings on LG TVs. However, I would recommend the Seagate USB hard drive, because if you ever remove the 2TB SSD from the enclosure (perhaps the USB connection is defective), you can easily read out the SATA SSD in 2.5 inch format installed in it with another enclosure or continue to use it in a PC, for example. The Seagate enclosure contains a Seagate Barracuda 2.5 inch hard drive with a SATA connection (you can't be sure with WD, because USB connection boards are often used on WD hard drives, so you can't use the drives again).
