Has anyone got the stick to work with a PI Zero. As an LTE modem. The Zero is supposed to serve as an emergency router (the little one can already manage ~5 MBIT)

The stick is a stand-alone WLAN router. You can plug it into a USB charger and operate it.
As long as you only want to use Wi-Fi and don't need Ethernet (RJ45), you don't need a computer.

If you plug the stick into a computer via USB, it is recognised as an Ethernet interface and your computer is connected to the Internet via mobile radio.

I hope that's enough of an explanation. And otherwise just ask another question ;)

I never tried with any raspberry pi
It works beautifully on a laptop (testing), or on a router (permanent solution).
I had to provide extra power with a split cable when connected to the router. Make sure to provide enough power.
