According to post 61 in qnap's forum:
Kingston KVR16LS11/8 is compatible and apparently works at 1.35V:

Corsair Vengeance (manufacturer no. CMSX8GX3M1A1600C10) has a width = 2.07 inches concerns height INCLUDING heat spreader.

Corsair Vengeance (manufacturer no. CMSX8GX3M1A1600C10) has a width = 2.07 inches and a CL = 10

BUT

QNAP suggests using the TS1GSK64V6H RAM bar (manufacturer number) for the TS-231P2 model.
Transcend TS1GSK64V6H has a PCB height = 1.18 inches and a CAS latency = CL11
