Hello Dear Community As I have no experience at all with dashcams, I would like to turn to you with my question and would be very grateful for some answers: I am looking for a dashcam to use mainly in parking mode, as a parking monitor. In the last few weeks I have had my tyres slashed and my rims scratched by hand, so I am looking for a dashcam that I can use mainly as a parking monitor. However, the dashcam should still be good and cover the entire outside area of the vehicle. The dashcam should definitely record itself as soon as someone is near the vehicle. What would you recommend best for this? Thanks in advance. LG

The Garmin dashcam mini 2 works. However, I am not 100% satisfied with the transfer to the app or the user-friendliness. Of course you can remove the memory card and then connect it directly to the notebook.

Regarding your question: The parking mode doesn't really work constantly for me. Sometimes the Garmin switches on as soon as someone drives by with a headlight. However, the display of the parking fine on the windscreen was not recorded (I didn't even want to, for data protection reasons ;) ). Buy something good/ expensive. Greetings

I confirm the connectivity issues with the Garmin application. The image quality is good, and I play the videos from the memory card on the computer.

For parking mode this camera does not seem to me to be the best suited, the BlackVue is better for that.
