I was able to do a research and unfortunately it's not easy to tell without testing the devices. If it also causes problems with the original adapter and 4x 6+2 pin PCIe power cable, it may even be the card itself. Otherwise, any of the components in the power connection (power supply, connections of the power supply (12 pin or the PCIe outputs), power cable, GPU) can be the cause of the problem.
