Hello, I have two questions: Do you always have to have this camera plugged in? Do you always have to have the wireless on in the house? (We turn it off at night, then the camera doesn't give a message to my phone?). Thanks for the answer.

2x Yes, the camera needs power and if you want to access it seamlessly, it needs Wi-Fi.
