Hi, I also use the NUC as a Roon Core but have another Roon Endpoint as a player. For this reason, the NUC is connected to the network in another room. In this constellation, NUC is absolutely quiet, at least during the time I was looking at it to answer your question. Unfortunately I can't say anything about how Roon Core will behave as a player, but there are still fanless housings from Akasa with which you could also solve this problem. Good luck
