Hello together. I bought this RAM for the mainboard (ASUS ROG Strix X670E-I Gaming Wifi). When I now look at the compatibility list of the mainboard, these RAM are not on it (others from G.Skill with 6000 Mhz are on it). If I set them to Auto in the Bios, they are recognised as 4800 Mhz and booting is quite fast. If I set them manually or go to D.O.C.P I in AI Tweaker, they are correctly detected as 6200 Mhz, but booting is very slow (almost a minute versus about 20 seconds). Should I use other rams that are on the list? Unfortunately, I don't know the details.

Helpful answer

i had made the same error buying this kit for AM5. keep the profile DOCP 2 just lower the frequency to 5200 and it will run stable and boot quick. There is absolutely no change in performance.

With all due respect, the Z5 is one of the best SK-Hynix kits you can get on the market. Please try to read up a bit, e.g. by means of a Google search. As a rule, everything stands and falls with the IMC of the CPU, but I was able to reach 8000MHz (GameStable only!) on a 7800X3D. On a 13900K it was even 8400. The first approach for you would be to update the BIOS of your mainboard. The delayed start with AM4 or AM5 is also normal. The memories are trained. Another tip...the Z5s like to need a higher voltage for sharper timings. Sorry, but the topic is mega complex...please use Google search.

Hi
Have you tried running Manuel at 5600mhz ?

The board has support for up to 6400mhz but that doesn't mean that every RAM kit can do it.
By default, every RAM kit runs at 4800mhz without any adjustments, which is normal.

AMD is quite problematic when it comes to RAM compatibility. There may well be a limit to where board and RAM will work together.
I rather recommend other RAM
Corsair or Team Force RAM kits. Mostly better function.

Gskill makes on high clock like times flabby. I have tried several RAM kits myself on Intel boards.

Since I have other RAM, it works better and runs without problems.
Even I profiles go without problems.
