Hello, we are moving into a house soon. We have a Lan socket in every room. Is this repeater suitable for this? Or can I pull a cable from the Lan socket in another room and connect the repeater that way? Then from the repeater into a Lan switch? Is that possible? Does anyone have experience with this? Many thanks

Technically yes, because Fritz repeaters are also mesh-capable and that is the keyword, it is best to install a mesh system, because this gives you very good WLAN reception throughout the house. However, this repeater is rather expensive, there is for example a mesh router set from Xiaomi, consisting of two mesh routers, which can serve up to 256 devices, I would therefore recommend this solution, because it also supports the new WiFi 6 standard with the latest WPA 3 encryption system. The system can be expanded up to 10 devices and the existing LAN cable can be used as a backhaul. Mesh systems are the best solution, there are also more expensive ones, but for the one from Xiaomi you get two identical WLAN mesh routers and each even has a 3-fold Gbit switch. One is installed at the Internet modem, then switch off the WLAN of the Internet router. The mesh system takes over all the network traffic in the house.

If one set is not enough, you can buy more mesh routers.
