Hello I am looking for an external hard drive. Yes, I know you have to move it back and forth. Is 1 T enough or is it better to take the bigger one? What is the difference with this one and the Samsung SsD T7 shield? Need it for the Ps 5 Thanks for help

The following applies to the PS5: An external USB SSD is primarily intended for storing PS5 games and for playing PS4 games directly; PS5 games must be copied back to the internal memory if necessary.

1TB is enough if you only need a little extra space. 2 TB is the better compromise between price, convenience and reserve for most people.

The main difference to the Samsung SSD T7 Shield is that the T7 Shield is also an external SSD, i.e. a fast USB storage device. For the PS5, the benefits are similar because both are used as external storage; for directly playable PS5 titles, however, you still need the console's internal storage.

If you want more space and don't want to manage it all the time, I'd go for 2TB rather than 1TB.
