Now I don't understand, even with the instructions, how to set my buttons. When I click on back it sends me to netflix, 6 turns the sound down and 2 turns it up. But I can't use anything else.

Hopefully you still have the original remote control for the appliance...
So programme each individual button according to the enclosed instructions.
It may take a little while, but everything will work perfectly afterwards.

Hello, unfortunately I can't help. I bought the remote control and just entered the control code for the corresponding TV type/brand (see the enclosed leaflet with all the codes). The remote control worked perfectly and I didn't need any software or programming.
So the question is whether the remote control is suitable for your TV type/brand at all?
