Hi, I am reading in the reviews and in the Q&A section that it is possible to use this router with Init7's Fiber7 service. The technician has installed the OTO plug, and Init7 has confirmed that the plug is active. Nevertheless, when I insert the SFP module from Flexoptix (which was sent by Init7) with the provided cable, the WAN icon on the router is solid red, and the SFP+ port does not light up. The WAN setting is correctly set to "SFP+," and no other changes have been made to the router's configuration, apart from the basic installation changes (like the SSID and admin login). In the system log, I see the following messages: Jan 1 01:56:49 kernel: Opticaldet Unknown Transceiver Jan 1 01:56:49 kernel: Module Form Factor: SFP/SFP+ Jan 1 01:56:49 kernel: Module Type : UNKNOWN Jan 1 01:56:49 kernel: Vendor Name : FLEXOPTIX Jan 1 01:56:49 kernel: Part Number : P.B1696.10.AD Jan 1 01:56:49 kernel: Part REV : A Jan 1 01:56:49 kernel: ************************************************************************ Jan 1 01:56:49 kernel: * Opticaldet: Unknown optical module - using default configuration * Jan 1 01:56:49 kernel: * Please make sure the optical module is correct for your connection * Jan 1 01:56:49 kernel: ************************************************************************ Jan 1 01:56:50 kernel: SFP Module is Plugged in at Serdes address 7 core 0 lane 0 Would somebody that made it work with init7 give me some advices.

I was able to carry out a search and it does indeed look like an incompatibility. Whether it is due to the router, the SFP+ module, a defect, the configuration or the combination of components, it is not possible for us to suggest a specific solution. In principle, I would have the compatibility checked with the manufacturers. I am releasing the question again, as someone may have successfully used this combination, as you have already mentioned, and may know a trick.
