I have this projector and from my point of view it is a very good and practical projector. 600 lm is enough to watch films in a reasonably dark room. The darker the better. For presentations, it doesn't need to be so dark.
My recommendation is to buy the Xlayer Powerbank Plus for your Macbook. With it, you can watch any film without a power connection. The built-in battery of the projector is good, but not enough for longer films. Also be careful when buying the USB cable, if necessary, as there are very different qualities.
