How do you connect these boxes to the PC? Do I need any additional hardware? I don't suppose you can just connect these boxes with an aux cable, can you?

You need an AV receiver/amplifier to operate these speakers. You cannot connect them directly to the PC. However, these speakers are also available in a different version, in which the amplifier is integrated, as far as I know. They just cost more. That would be the Klipsch R-51PM.
