I am particularly interested in the "Parental Controls", as my children are slowly entering the Internet age. I can hardly find any details about what exactly you can (not) do there. Can anyone rate and recommend this router? Or perhaps advise against it or recommend another one?

This was one of the main reasons why I bought this router (and have now bought the successor as a supplement) Trend Micro filters the Internet. So you can block porn sites, for example. cf. https://www.asus.com/support...

The Parental Controls function can be used to restrict the temporal WAN access of a client in the local network.
Parental controls in this case are limited only to the temporal use of the client/device.
Restrictions for websites or their content do not work with any common router. There are software solutions for this.
