I am undecided between this bank of RAM and this other. https://www.digitec.ch/it/s1/product/corsair-dominator-platinum-rgb-2-x-32gb-ddr5-5200-dimm-288-pin-memorie-di-lavoro-18354831 The build I would like will have the Asus z690 HERO, i9 12900K, and the rtx 3090. I will use it in addition to gaming and streaming for work as well. I will be using programs like Adobe Premiere and Davinci Resolve / After Effect. So I was wondering if 64gb of RAM were strictly necessary or if even with these 32 with lower latency and higher frequency, I could get similar if not better results.

According to Davinci Resolve system requirements, it is recommended to have 64GB of RAM to edit 8K video material. If you only work with 4K material and under, 32GB suffices. Adobe programs have less requirements than Davinci and only recommend 32GB for the highest settings. If you do not ever intend to work with 8K with Davinci, then the faster 32GB RAM should yield you better speeds.

i'm very late but if you want to work with 4 sticks you cannot use an intel plateform they don't support 4 slots Z690 is two sticks only and Z790 seems to be the same garbage, don't believe me ? check memory QVLs for 4 slots especially on ASUS motherboards :/ and I can tell you if the QVL doesn't say it supports 4 dimms it will not work can't boot or you have to run it so slow it destroys your performance, check X670E memory qvls for 4 sticks and it seems to be way better (except asus again seems like they cannot make DDR5 work properly)
