I bought the Medion Erazer X67073 (https://www.galaxus.ch/de/s1/product/medion-erazer-x67073-intel-core-i7-8700-16-gb-512-gb-ssd-hdd-pc-9708547?supplier=406802) years ago. Unfortunately, I've always had problems with crashes right from the start. Many of the problems seem to come from the SSD, so I would like to replace the old SSD with this Lexar NM790. Can anyone tell me if the Lexar NM790 is compatible with my PC?

According to the description of your old computer on the product page, it has at least 3 M.2 internal connection options. This means that the Lexar NM790 can fit the form factor. However, in order to utilise the full potential of the SSD, the M.2 interface should also be PCIe Gen 4. 
As there is nothing about this in the description, we can only speculate. A slower PCIe Gen3 will also be able to cope with the SSD, but a correspondingly slower PCIe Gen3 SSD would then be more worthwhile in terms of price/performance.

I have no experience with this, but I don't see why it shouldn't work. The important thing is that you have a compatible PCIe slot for the 2280 form factor. You'll have the best results with a PCIe 4.0 interface, but if you bought your mill "years ago", that will probably make an upgrade naff. I have four NM790s in an OWC Express 4m2 configured to a 16TB RAID 0 and need that for 4K video editing. The transfer rates are off the charts and I hardly have any crashes (not like before). I use the 4m2 via Thundebolt 3 on a Mac Studio M1. Read: 2311.7MB/s Write: 2279.8MB/s
