Question about Synology DS220+
I bought two Samsung 870 EVO SSDs (4000 GB, 2.5") for the Synology DS220+. On the phone, Digitec support tells me before the purchase that it is no problem to install these SSDs. Now I have received the NAS and the SSDs and at the same time Digitec has emailed me that this combination is not compatible according to the Synology website. However, I don't see anywhere on this website that there is an incompatibility here, only that the Samsung SSDs are not on the list of tested storage media. Does anyone have any experience with this combination? Should I open the unopened package and try it, or should I send it back? Please Help, Thank you!

Return unopened. What was opened, Digitec deducts an amount from the purchase price and you do not get all the money. I also recommend returning the NAS, a 2 bay NAS is not very expandable. It is better to choose a 4 bay Synology NAS and use it with 3 smaller disks in the Synology Hybrid RAID. You lose one disk because of redundancy, but you have more capacity and it can be expanded later if necessary.
