I can't decide between the X3 and the GSX 1000. What I like: X3 also offers multiple outputs, which is good if I want to connect a 5.1 at some point. But on Youtube I can't find a proper comparison between SBX Pro studio, SXFI, and GSX virtual surround. Many say that GSX offers a better virtual surround but it's quite difficult if you don't compare both at the same time.
I can only confirm once again that the sound is good ... I can compare this with an SB AE-7 and an AE-5 Plus. There is hardly any difference in the sound ... With the AE-5 Plus there are occasional crackling noises when starting up, I assume that this is connected to the power supply, because the AE-5 needs additional power. From a sound point of view, the sound of the X 3 seems to me to be almost the best. The AE-7 is even clearer, but has the small disadvantage that the internal sound card in a powerful "gamer PC" deflects the air in the case (below) upwards, where a 3090 heats up enormously. This is a clear advantage if the sound card with good quality does not disturb the air supply. i would then choose the X3 anyway.
