Question about GoPro Per 3.5mm microphone adapter

I currently have the Gopro Hero 4 Black. Would love to have the 5. My question, can I connect this adapter to a mixer like the 4 version ? and the second question: is it possible to record sound with the adapter and connect a powerbank at the same time ? I use it to record my gigs, after a little more than an hour the battery is empty (Hero4).

Should be possible to do both.
Mic. Running the audio while filming... and then recording with a powerbank at the same time should not be a problem.
