I have 8 HDD's - will they fit into the provided trays out of the box or 4-bay enclosure is needed additionally. If so is there a dedicated place to mount it?

Helpful answer
The Fractal Design Define 7 Black Solid case comes with six universal 3.5"/2.5" drive brackets and two dedicated 2.5" drive brackets out of the box. However, if you need to accommodate eight HDDs, you will require additional storage solutions.

The Define 7 has a dual-layout design that allows for significant storage expansion. You can convert the case to a Storage Layout, which enables the installation of up to 14 HDDs. To achieve this, you would need to use the multi-brackets provided, which can convert unused fan positions into HDD or SSD mounts.

There is a dedicated place to mount additional storage solutions, such as a 4-bay enclosure, using these multi-brackets. The case's design is highly modular, allowing you to customize the storage configuration to fit your needs.
