Synology MR2200ac

Question about Synology MR2200ac

I have a problem with the guest portal. A few units display the message "Log in to the network" and are redirected to the login window. Other devices do not receive these messages although they are connected to the WLAN (no Internet access). I have the standard Sunrise device as my router. The MR2200ac (WAN port) is connected to it as an AP. What could be the problem?

Hello Shoeguru
For your information, this is a small coffee shop where I would like to offer guest WLAN.
Via the "normal" WLAN, all devices have WLAN. With the guest WLAN, the guest portal only works partially. With some devices the portal comes up to click so that you can have Internet afterwards. With the others, the portal does not appear and the Internet is not enabled for these devices.
I would have to try the LAN port, but it works with some devices.
I don't actually want to release access to the local network, as a NAS from Synology is still connected there.

Hello Anonymous. This all sounds a bit special. So you have various devices on the WLAN without an internet connection? Why? Also, the MR2200ac (configured as an AP) should not be on the WAN port but on the LAN port. The WAN port is for configuring the MR2200ac as a router (DHCP) with a direct connection to the modem. Also check in the Synology app whether the setting "Access to my local network" is switched on or off. This may help you. Unfortunately, I can't tell you more via remote maintenance. Greetings shoeguru
