I have a UPC WLAN box that does not reach the first floor. Can I connect NWA1100-NH there to increase the range? Yesterday a Swisscom repeater was tried without success.

The NWA1100-NH is basically an access point and not a repeater. The radio signal may be stronger than with the UPC Box, and since the antennas are outside, they can also be better aligned, which can have an effect on the range. In any case, I would operate the device directly on the router and turn off the WLAN of the UPC Box. In addition, with this device it is possible to set a stronger radio signal than normally allowed via a hidden setting.
