Question about WD My Cloud EX2 Ultra

I have installed the Seagate IronWolf (4TB, 3.5", CMR) in the empty enclosure of the WD My Cloud EX2 Ultra. In My Cloud, the Seagate hard drive is displayed, but access to it is not possible and the WD's hard drive LED is red. Does a non-WD hard drive need to be formatted or similar?

I have been able to solve the problem. I reset My Cloud and then started the setup again from the beginning. Then during the setup I was asked to set the RAID mode (there was only the option to select JBOD). Then it was possible to select formatting of the hard drive, which I did. Problem solved.

Hello
I have installed 2 Seagate Iron Wolf hard drives and formatted them at the beginning. My Cloud EX2 Ultra has been running without any problems since then. Simply try formatting.
