I have the following mainboard installed in my computer, which unfortunately broke for the third time: Gigabyte GA-H97-HD3 . Can I replace it with this ASUS H81M-Plus motherboard? I don't necessarily need the same performance, but it has to run.
ACTUAL state: Gigabyte GA-H97-HD3
VGA, DVI-D, HDMI, 3x USB 3.0, 2x USB 2.0, DDR3, RAID,
TARGET: ASUS H81M-PLUS
Processor socket: LGA1150 = fits
only DDR3 like the old one = fits
2x USB3.0, 4x USB 2.0, VGA, DVI-D, HDMI
The components from the old one also fit on the ASUS.
You can save the installation from the old one with ACRONIS as IMAGE.
Then install the hard disk after the backup.
Then the PC should start again with the new ASUS motherboard.
Then adjust the device drivers: done.

My mainboard has been running continuously since spring this year. I hope the answer helps.
