Question about Icy Box Aluminium housing

I need to get the data of the ASUS F200M (rest in peace!)... the HD is of the model "wd5000lpvx-80v0tt0v". Is a cable like this enough, or is a "box" necessary? If cable, how does the HD get "power"?

An adapter is sufficient to connect an SSD / 2.5" HDD, with this case you have a USB-C port instead of a USB 3.0 and therefore a slightly higher maximum transfer rate (max. data transfer rate 6 Gbit/s compared to 5 Gbit/s with the adapter).
Check what connections your laptop/PC supports and decide which device makes the most sense for you :)
