I purchased a WD hard drive a year ago and connected it directly to my router via USB. Is it possible to connect this hard drive to the NAS via USB or is it necessary to remove it from the housing and install it directly in the NAS?

Helpful answer
The hard drive can be connected to the NAS via USB without having to remove it from the housing. The NAS has two USB 3.0 ports to which external USB hard drives can be connected directly, for example to perform backups or data transfers. It is therefore not necessary to remove the hard drive from the housing.
