I recently decided to upgrade from 16gb to 32gb and bought absolutely identical ram. Now have 4x 8gb. Plugged the kits in staggered and loaded the D.O.C.P profile at 3000Hz 1.35V. Since then I have had a lot of bluescreens with the error message: System Service Exception. Nothing is overclocked. Does anyone know the problem? Otherwise installed is: Ryzen 7 2700x Asus B450-F Gaming (1st Gen) KFA2 Gtx 1060 6bg 850W power supply 1x 2.5" SSD 250gb (Intel) 1x M2 Kingston SSD 1TB 2x HDD 3.5"
Hello Moriice,
Kevin has already described this very well and copied in the link to the ASUS documents, top! Your problem is actually that in your setup (this board, this processor, this RAM), only 2 sticks of this manufacturer and type can be installed by the board.
So if you absolutely need 32 GB RAM, you only have the following options:
- Sell the 4 HyperX RAM (ebay, riccardo, tutti, etc) and buy 4x8 GB RAM sticks, which fit according to the documentation.
- sell the 4 HyperX RAM (ebay, riccardo, tutti, etc) and buy 2x16 GB RAM stick, which fit according to the documentation.
- 1x32GB is, according to the documentation, not recommended.
Good luck!
Hello Morice...
Before you install RAM, you must make sure that it is compatible with your system... the problem you describe is caused by the fact that you have installed too 4 of these RAM sticks. With these sticks and board you can only use 2.

Here in the MEMORY QLV on the asus page you can check which RAM sticks you can use in which configuration.
That means you'd better check first which ones work in which config... unfortunately, you'll have to take 2 out again...
Oh and by the way D.O.C.P. or XMP are overclocks for the RAM ;)
